MARINE Archaeology

Archaeological sites don’t just stop

when they hit the water, they extend into the sea in the form of drowned shorelines and ancient village sites, traditional seafood harvesting features like clam gardens and fish traps, and (of course) shipwrecks!

Sea-Beneath has the training: providing one of the only commercially certified professional archaeologists in the province. Sea Beneath has the in-depth experience: professional archaeologist since 1993, diving since 1988. We have advanced training and experience in deep water, mixed gas, and extended range diving including overhead environments like caves and wrecks. If your dredging project, dock, anchors, pipeline, or submarine cable needs to address archaeological requirements we are able to meet your needs.

Land owners, realtors and developers are encouraged to read our information page for services specific to their needs.
